International students aiming to study in Portugal face ongoing challenges, particularly delays in receiving visa application responses.

Brazilian passport holders continue to experience extended visa processing delays for Portugal, leading to widespread frustration among applicants.

From now on, students in Portugal who complete their bachelor’s and master’s degrees and live in the country will receive a salary bonus in order to boost their qualifications, including foreign residents. This bonus will last for the same number of years as the respective study cycles.

The number of registered students in higher education in Portugal has reached 446,028 for the 2022/2023 academic year, reaching a historic record.

More young Portuguese residents are pursuing their academic careers, with the figure reaching 44 per cent in 2021, the official authority reveals.
